There are plugins or add ons that you can download and install in Word.  These plugins are used to automate the process of inserting citations and references in Word documents using the style that you select. Some programs that have add ons are RefWorks, ProQuest Flow, Zotero,EndNote, and Mendeley.  See the information on the web sites for these programs for directions on downloading and installing the plugins.
