The SMS has a variety of maker tools available for use in the studio.They include but are not limited to:

Emotiv - brain computer interface technology
LittleBits - easy-to-use, magnetic, electronic building blocks
Makey Makey - an electronic invention tool and toy that allows users to connect everyday objects to computer programs
Soldering tool
Heat gun
Wood burning tool
Exacto knives
Superglue
Acrylic paint / small paintbrushes
Our various tools are free to use by Kent State students and are available on a first come, first served basis. Please note that use of above tools may require a brief instructional session with one of our SMS consultants. For more information, stop in during our regular business hours.
