Ripping music from a CD on a Mac

As explained in the tutorial, first make sure that iTunes is set up to import music as an MP3 before you begin ripping CDs. To do this:

Go to iTunes Preferences (iTunes > Preferences on a Mac; Edit > Preferences on a PC).
Under the General tab, click on the Import Settings button.
Choose to "Importing Using:" MP3 Encoder, then click OK.
Click OK again to exit Preferences.
