Audio Production Tutorials: Ripping Music from CDs

As explained in the tutorial, first make sure that iTunes is set up to import music as an MP3 before you begin ripping CDs. To do this:

  1. Go to iTunes Preferences (iTunes > Preferences on a Mac; Edit > Preferences on a PC).

  2. Under the General tab, click on the Import Settings button.

  3. Choose to "Importing Using:" MP3 Encoder, then click OK.

  4. Click OK again to exit Preferences.
