Information Needed to Cite an Article in AMA

  • Author (s) name(s).  Last name first, followed by first and middle initials, both capitalized with no punctuation.
  • Title of article
  • Abbreviated name of the journal
  • Publication year (or for online-only publications: [month and day, year]
  • Volume number
  • Issue number
  • DOI
