3D Printing at the SMS: Request a Print

Attention: 3D printing service offline during spring break

The 3D printing service will be paused during Spring Break. The service will resume when the studio reopens on Monday, April 1. The request form will be offline from Friday, March 22 through Sunday, March 31, 2024. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. Wishing you a safe and restful Spring Recess!

Instructions

How to order a 3D print:

  1. Fill out request form (below).
  2. New! Upload model file (STL or OBJ) within the request form itself!
  3. Check your inbox and/or junk mail folder for email from our kentstatesms@gmail.com account (with questions or to let you know that your model is finished.)
  4. Pick up your print!

Visit the How to Print page for full instructions.

Note:

  • Please only submit ONE print request at a time. Additional requests should not be submitted until the previous request is finished.

  • Course-related print requests receive first priority over personal projects.

  • We require a minimum of a week turnaround on course-related print requests. A request submitted in under a week of a deadline may not be completed in time.

  • The request form should appear below. If you do not see it, check your web browser settings or try a different browser.

  • Keep an eye out for emails from us in your inbox. Our email address is KentStateSMS@gmail.com. Some students find that our email filters to their junk mail folder so be sure to check there for our message as well.
