If your photos are too large for Instagram size limits, there is an app called Instasize that you could try. In this app (available both on Android and iOS) you can perform simple tasks such as changing the size of the photo, or try some of their additional features such as applying photo filters and custom backgrounds. It's free but does offer in-app purchases.
