With the extreme cold that we are experiencing this week, you have probably noticed issues with your phone's performance - from battery drain to slow touch reactions. Smartphones are not meant to withstand extreme cold, so do your best to protect it. Rather than keeping it in a purse or backpack when outside, store your phone in a pants pocket or inside lining pocket in your coat close to your own body heat. If your phone suddenly goes dead or shuts down, it's only temporary. Do not try to charge it immediately or fire it right back up as that can cause damage to your phone. Instead, wait until you are back inside and the phone has had time to warm back up. Finally, if it's not needed, turn your phone off before heading outside. It will prevent you from exposing it to the cold, which can cause screen shattering, condensation and other internal damage to the device.
