If you have access to a projector, we have a eye-catching Halloween trick for you. You can display a live "ghost" that floats within a space! You'll need see-through material on which to project your animation, such as dark scrim or tulle (ballet tutu material). Next, find a space (like a doorway) where you can tape up the material. Then position your projector to hit the material at just the right angle, so that your guests won't see the beam or notice the animation when it ultimately hits a solid surface. Last, turn off the lights and press play!
If you need a ghostly animation, a quick Google search can show you several affordable sites out there that produce video effects for this exact purpose. Or, if you're tight on cash, just search for "ghost on black background" on YouTube.
