If you enjoy taking macro photos (close-up shots) and find that your resulting images are not quite as sharp as you would like, try focus stacking. Intended for manual focus cameras and similar to HDR - high dynamic range photography - this technique requires you to take several photos of the same object and merge them together in a photo editing tool such as Photoshop. However, rather than adjusting the exposure between images as you would in HDR photography, with focus stacking you shoot each photo with a very slight variance in focus. Once merged the result is a sharper image. For details, see the full tutorial from CNET.com, "How to get sharp macro shots with focus stacking".
