If you want to create a custom slide in PowerPoint, just follow these 4 easy steps:
Choose Page setup under the Design tab on a Windows computer or under the File menu on a Mac.
Type in the height and width that you would like to use.
Then click OK.
A dialogue box may appear, asking about the resize. Click OK again. Your slide background will be resized.
Custom sizing is especially helpful if you are designing in PowerPoint for something other than a standard presentation, such as a research poster or brochure. Just make sure to set the slide dimension FIRST before adding your content, or the imagery might become stretched to fit.
