Aligning in Illustrator

Aligning objects to each other in Illustrator seems easy until you click the button and everything selected shifts out of place. The reason? You need to designate one as the "key object" to which everything should align. First select all of the objects, then click again on the one that you want to be the key object. Now you're ready to align!
