Did you know that you can place a call on hold while talking on your smartphone? On an iPhone this can happen automatically if you receive an incoming call while speaking with someone else on the phone. But you can also simply place a current call on hold. To do so, press and hold on the Mute button. The call will automatically be placed on hold.
A similar option is available on Android (once "Call Waiting is enabled" in your Phone app settings). To place on hold, simply press the "Hold" or "Hold Call" button. Make sure to alert the caller before doing so!
