Match fonts from a photograph

by Hilary Kennedy on 2023-05-18T09:00:00-04:00 | 0 Comments

If you are hoping to match a font from a photograph to incorporate into your design, Photoshop can help! Open the image in Photoshop, select the area around the text using a Marquee tool (like the lasso tool) then click on Type > Match Font. A window will pop up with a list of visually similar fonts to choose from - pulled not only from your computer's font collection but also downloadable ones from Adobe Typekit. This feature could be especially helpful for when you see an inspiring font in your surrounding environment. Snap a photo and check for a match in Photoshop!
