Dark Mode on your smartphone

icon for a smartphone deviceDo you find your smartphone screen display to be too bright, especially at night? You can adjust the general brightness through your phone's Settings > Display on Android. On iPhone you can do so either through Settings > Display & Brightness or your quick-access Control Center. However, for a more drastic change you can now switch to Dark Mode! On Android OS 10 (and coming soon on iOS 13), Dark Mode will essentially reverse out your phone display, with dark (or true black on iOS 13) background and white text. You'll find it under the Settings menu on Android 10 and on iOS 13 by pressing and holding the brightness slider in your Control Center. Just like with the Night Shift Mode on your iPhone, you will even be able to set a schedule for the Dark Mode to turn on and off automatically. Dark Mode will help alleviate both strain on your eyes and some battery life.
