Community Health Status Indicators
This U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services' site provides an overview of key health indicators for local communities. It contains over 200 measures for each of the 3,141 United States counties.
EPA Substance Registry System
Provides information on substances and how they are represented in the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and information systems. Search by name, CAS number and in other ways.
GIMS -Geographic Information Management Systems
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources depository for spatial data can be searched by county or category. Categories include: administrative, biologic, cadastral, demographic, geographic/soils, hydrologic, land use/cover, recreational, topographic, transportation/ infrastructure. Not all data is available for each category and county. Data is downloadable in Arc Shapefile and Arc/INFO Interchange format. Some PDF images of maps are also available for printing and downloading.
NEO CANDO
Northeast Ohio Community and Neighborhood Data for Organizing. Data is available by county down to the block group level. Crime data, juvenile delinquency, child maltreatment, births and deaths are available at different geographic levels. Free registration is required for data access.

The Sanborn Maps are large scale street plans produced by the Sanborn Fire Insurance company from 1867 to 1970.
