Printing in the University Library
Printing from most University Library workstations is available to patrons using a University FLASHCard or Visitor's Card. Print jobs sent from workstations on the 1st floor are sent to Print Center located on the 1st floor. Print jobs sent from workstations on floors 6 - 10 are sent to Print Stations (B&W only) on the 4th and 6th floors. Color printing is only available on the 1st floor.
The Print Center on the 1st floor is located centrally in the computer lab area. The 4th floor print station (B&W only) is located near the Writing Commons and the 6th floor (B&W) near the elevator lobby.
We do not accept money for printing. You may add money to your FLASHCard at the FLASHCard machine located in the computer lab area, at the FLASHCard Office in the basement of the Student Center, or by using a Debit or Credit card from the FLASHCard Office's web site.
Thanks to a generous sponsorship from the Undergraduate Student Government in May of 2013, University Libraries acquired the Makerbot Replicator 2x, a dual-extrusion 3D printer. The printer is currently being managed by and housed in the Student Multimedia Studio, located on the first floor of the Kent State University Library. Printing capabilities are open to all currently enrolled KSU students free of charge.
After realizing the increased demand and popularity of the service, University Libraries purchased a second 3D printer and has continued this free service.
For more information about 3D printing at the library, see the 3D Printing guide.
Printing from laptops or most wireless devices is available at the University Library. Click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.
The University Library has copiers located on the 1st floor, 4th floor, and the 6th floor. Copiers only use 8.5" X 11" white paper. The cost for copying in the library is $.10 per sheet.
