Resources available in library dealing with accessibility.

Accessibility

The University Library makes every attempt to accommodate individuals with special needs because of a disability.  You will find a few of the accommodations listed below.  Please ask at the Reference Desk if you require help finding and paging your books or need help with copying or printing.

Building Entrances

There are handicap entrances located at the main entrance of the library. Door opening devices are located outside on the northwest wall by the side entrance, in the atrium on the northwest wall, and near the book drops inside the building.

Mobility

The library has a motorized wheelchair available to use within the library. Please visit the Circulation Desk for more information.

Communication

We have a video phone available to any user needing to communicate with a caller using sign language. The Video Phone is located near the May 4th Resource Room.

Computer Accessibility

Software loaded on ADA accessible workstations located on the 1st floor of the library. See Reference Staff for additional information.

Restrooms

Handicap restrooms are available on all floors of the library. Floors B, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 have both men's and women's restrooms.  Floors 7 and 9 have women's restrooms, and floors 6, 8, and 10 have men's restrooms.
