Makerspace at KSU Tuscarawas: Microprocessor and Soldering Station

Page that describes the Makerspace project, equipment and goals.

Soldering station, Arduino, and Raspberry Pi

Soldering Station

Makerspace now has a soldering station. You are able to try your hand at soldering. Soldering is a useful skill in many areas, electrical, technical, crafting, such as jewelry making and sculpting, and even plumbing. We have some supplies for you to try and directions are always in the station. If you need some more help, ask, we would be happy to show you .

Arduino uno R3

The Arduino UNO R3 is a microcontroller board based on a removable, dual-inline-package (DIP) ATmega328 AVR microcontroller. It has 20 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs and 6 can be used as analog inputs).

Arduino consists of both a physical programmable circuit board as a piece of software, or IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that runs on your computer, used to write and upload computer code to the physical board.

Raspberry Pi

A Raspberry Pi is an inexpensive, small computer that can be used for many things. The reason Raspberry Pi was created was to teach programming. We have gotten several Raspberry Pi for our Makerspace. They are available to everyone to experiment with.

Here are some links to help you use the Raspberry Pi:
