Image Editing Software
Some image editing software might come with your computer (like Paint on a PC), and others you have to purchase (like Photoshop Elements).
If you have a digital camera, chances are it will come with software that will let you edit your photos.
Luckily, there are several free applications available online, so you don't have to worry about buying a thing!
- Picassa 3Picassa is a free photo editing that you can download for free. Once installed on your computer, you can organize, edit, and share your photos.
- Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0Available on the computers in the Library, this program is more powerful than Picnik, yet is designed to be used by consumers.
- Adobe Photoshop CS3In love with image editing? Adobe Photoshop is used by the pros, and offers advanced features. Available on the Library's Multimedia Workstations.
- GIMPGIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages. (From GIMP webpage).
