Computer Search Report Checklist (CSRC): Comprehensiveness

Comprehensiveness of computer searches

This area lists information related to use of the CSRC to guide the evaluation of computer search reporting as a part of determining the comprehensiveness of computer searches.

10 CSRC items from Version One of the CSRC were used to look at computer search reports for evidence of the comprehensiveness of computer searching in 50 systematic reviews.   See the Versions section for the full Version One that contained the CSRC items used for the work on comprehensiveness.

Kappas for those 10 checklist items are reported in Table 2 of this article: Fehrmann, P. and Thomas, J. (2011), Comprehensive computer searches and reporting in systematic reviews. Research Synthesis Methods, 2: 15–32. doi: 10.1002/jrsm.31
