Important Information

Here are some important things you need to know in order to use University Libraries resources and services effectively:

  • Ask a Librarian.  Contact a KSU librarian by telephone, e-mail, or chat. 
  • Off-Campus  Access.  How to connect to restriced online resources when you are not on campus.
  • Your Library Account. Look here to see what materials you.have checked out, renew items, and find out about holds you hsave requested from other libraries.  
  • Interlibrary Loan.  Free-of-charge Interlibrary Loan and electronic article delivery of materials not held at Kent. 

Resources for Mobile Devices

EBSCOhost Mobile provides a menu of databases and an interface maximized for use on smartphones and other mobile devices.  The app is available through iTunes.  To authenticate, you need to create an authentication key in the web-based version of the EBSCOhost interface. Look for the link at the bottom of the Ebsco search screen to get the authentication key. You will receive the key by email.

KentLINK Mobile is the KentLINK library catalog formatted for use on mobile devices.

NLM Mobile offers access to National Library of Medicine resources (including a mobile version of the PubMed database).
