Kent Writing Commons Online Writing Lab (OWL)
The Online Writing Lab is staffed through Kent Main campus. You can submit your papers through the web portal. According to the Writing lab website you should make sure you submit at least a week before you paper is due. They will contact you with a time a tutor will review your paper.
On Campus Writing Assistance
The East Liverpool Campus has a Writing Tutor, Karen Owens, who is on campus Mondays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. No appointment is needed. You can come to the library and ask for Karen, or you can contact Karen to set up a time to meet (kowens24@kent.edu). If Karen is available she is willing to meet at special times, however, this is dependent on her class and clinical schedule.
Ohio Collaborative e-Tutoring Network
Kent State University subscribes to the Ohio Collaborative eTutoring Network where you can seek one on one online assistance with writing, and other subjects. The average time for the writing lab is 48 hours.

3. Select: Ohio
4. Select: Kent State University
5. First time users need to "CREATE AN ACCOUNT"
Your user name will be your Kent State flashline username (without the @kent.edu) and your password needs to be at least 6 characters.
When you have access you can schedule an appointment or submit your paper to the online writing lab.
