Voting: Ohio early voting and absentee voting

OHIO - Vote by Mail (Absentee Voting) OR Vote Early In-Person

If you want to vote by mail or dropbox, request your absentee ballot now! The earlier you make your request, the earlier you will receive your ballot.

Request your ballot early ahead of the October 29, 2024 deadline! Mail service can be slow!

You will then receive your official ballot in the mail. Once you have filled it out with your selections, you have three ways to submit your vote:

  1. Return it by mail (must be postmarked no later than the day before Election Day)
  2. Deliver it in person to your county's Board of Elections office before 7:30pm on Election Day
  3. Deliver it in person by dropping it into the Official Ballot Drop Box located near each county's Board of Elections office building. The drop boxes are available 24/7 and enable you to deliver your ballot touch-free up until the polls close at 7:30pm on Election Day
  • If you waited until Election Day to submit your absentee ballot, you must deliver it to your county's Board of Elections office or to an Official Ballot Drop Box in your county
