Elections are important!
The next election in Ohio is Tuesday, November 5, 2024
Once you are registered to vote in Ohio, you can:
- Vote in person on election day – if you have an Ohio ID, Passport, or Military ID.
- The Portage County Board of Elections should have sent you a voter registration acknowledgment card that lists your ward, precinct, and the name and address of your polling (voting) location.
- If you registered using an on-campus address, you can find your voting location on the chart below:
- Vote by mail – for this next election, you have until Tuesday, October 29, 2024 to request an Ohio absentee ballot. If you are an out-of-state student who is newly registered to vote in Ohio but do not have a passport or military ID, you will need to request an absentee ballot.
- Vote in person early by going to your county’s designated early voting location – for this next election, in person early voting begins on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. To see hours and locations for early in person voting, go to the Ohio Secretary of State’s website.
