Peer-reviewed journal articles are often the most reliable sources to site in a paper because the information in them has already been vetted by experts in the field. In addition, these articles will all list their sources at the end. If you find one that is particularly helpful, you can trace back the research and find even more sources.
To start using the research databases go to the Blair Memorial Library home page and locate Finding Articles. Chose "Research Databases by subject. (Or, click here: Research Databases by Subject)
Scroll down and find the heading titled “Language and Literature.”
Search in any of these databases and you will likely find a wealth of relevant materials.
By using many of the same techniques used to find books in the KentLink catalog, like keyword and subject searches, you can narrow down the number of results and then click on the “go find it” link to retrieve and download the full text of an article.
