While books in science and mathematics may become obsolete in just a few years, literary criticism rarely goes out of date. In fact, returning to older source material can be a great way to learn about what other people thought about the same text in a different historical context.
From the Kent State Library home page, click on the link to the right of the search box that says “advanced search.” This will give you the most possible options and help you narrow down a search based on exactly what you need.

If you want to limit your search to resources available at your local library, change the bar that says “View Entire Collection” to the library of your choice. You can search by author, title, keyword or subject or just leave your term in the “any field” default category.
