Occupational Therapy Assistant: Evidence-Based Practice : Welcome

According to American Occupational Therapy Association, "with the demands of payers, regulators, and consumers to deliver effective and cost-efficient health services, “evidence-based practice” (EBP) has become the buzzword for high quality health care in the 21st century.

EBP encourages the integration of critically appraised research results with the clinical expertise, and the client’s preferences, beliefs and values."

This guide is designed to provide occupational therapy assistant students with the credible information sources they need to develop an effective EBP process.
