Most of the classrooms are equipped with Audio Visual (AV) and computer equipment. Follow the link to see maps of all classrooms and their permanent equipment.
To request equipment that is not permanently housed in a classroom, follow these instructions:
Preferred Method: Email your requests to mrichar4@kent.edu. In East Liverpool you may also use elavr@listserv.kent.edu. State the equipment needed, date and time of class, room number, and name of campus building. Clarify if the request is for semester long use or specific dates (provide dates). This email goes to all staff members that coordinate equipment use.
Alternate Method: East Liverpool: Call 77401 for equipment requests in Purinton Hall or 77477 for the Mary Patterson Building.
Salem: Call 74213.
If you leave a message, be sure you include all the information listed above.
Book early. Same day requests cannot be guaranteed.

The library purchases materials that support the curriculum and the research needs of students. To request a purchase, provide bibliographic information to the Library Director.
The Library uses the Yankee Book Peddler to purchase titles. YBP sends publication announcements via email to the Library. Faculty are often asked to review these announcements and suggest purchases.

Use this Video Sources LibGuide to access licensed steaming videos available to Kent students and faculty.
High usage materials may be placed on reserve to ensure equitable use by students. Reserve materials may be online or housed at the library's circulation desk.
For online reserves: Use the UL Personal Login to access the online request system to put materials in ERes, the online reserve system.
For print reserves: Bring the reserve materials to the library and complete a reserve form. Form requires instructor's name, course number, course name, and type of reserve (2 hour closed use in library or 3 day off-campus loan). Print materials may be your own personal copies or materials from the library's collection.
Reserve materials will be removed and returned to instructor (or shelf) the week before finals (unless requested otherwise by the instructor)
