The Executive Branch

The executive branch of the Government is responsible for enforcing the laws of the land. The Executive Branch is made up of the President, his Cabinet of advisers, and numerous executive agencies.

White House and the President

White House web site provides access to the oral and written communications from the President.

Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents is published every Monday and is the official publication of presidential statements, messages, remarks, and other materials released by the White House Press Secretary. Online coverage is available from 1993 to the present.

Public Papers of the Presidents of the United States contains the papers and speeches of the President of the United States that were issued by the Office of the Press Secretary during the specified time period.

Budget of the U.S. Government is issued by the Office of Management and Budget, the Budget of the United States Government is a collection of documents that contains the budget message of the President, information about the President's budget proposals for a given fiscal year, and other budgetary publications that have been issued throughout the fiscal year.

Economic Report of the President is an annual report written by the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors. It overviews the nation's economic progress using text and extensive data appendices.

President's Cabinet dates back to the beginnings of the Presidency itself. One of the principal purposes of the Cabinet (drawn from Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution) is to advise the President on any subject he may require relating to the duties of their respective offices.
