You can access KentLINK, OhioLINK, and the Research Databases from any computer with access to the World Wide Web. Due to licensing restrictions, you will be required to authenticate yourself as a valid University user to access some resources. You can do this using KSU Proxy.
KSU Proxy allows you to connect to the campus network as if you were on campus. When prompted you will simply need to enter your FlashLine username and password. After you have supplied your FlashLine username and password, you will be automatically redirected to the library resource you were initially trying to access.
In addition to The New York Times - Historical, full online access to The New York Times is now available to all KSU faculty, staff, and students courtesy of Kent State University Libraries.
In order to gain full access to The New York Times, you must first register for an account. If you are off-campus when registering for an account, you will be prompted to connect to the KSU Proxy before continuing.
Register for full online access here.
After you have created your account, you can read The Times' anytime, anywhere.
Both The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal are accessible through research databases.
The Washington Post is available through LexisNexis Academic (2000-Present).
The Wall Street Journal is available here (2010-Present).
