What Can You Do With A LibGuide: Faculty Involvement

2013 Library Roadshow- Twinsburg

Assignment/Curriculum Based LibGuide

Comments, Polling and More

What do your students think of the guide? What was most helpful? What should we add?

LibGuides offers boxes for comments, polling and questionnaires that can help you determine what works best in your guide.

Librarians and Faculty Together

One of the unique features of LibGuides is that it enables more collaboration between Librarians and Faculty. Once a guide is created it's easy to allow co-author access. Allowing both the Librarian and the Faculty member the ability to update and add information to the LIbGuide.

The drawback to collaboration on websites was always learning curve for the system. With so many piece of technology involved in the creation of content the learning curve can be overwhelming to Librarians and Faculty, who are already stretched to limits of their time.

Using LibGuides allows everyone to access a central, simple to use content management system and add content at times that fits their schedules.

Collaborative efforts in creating LibGuides result in engaged students. Because of the simplicity of creating these guides, Librarians and Faculty can add dynamic content that applies to multiple learning styles and engages students with an array of content types.
