This guide will inform patrons of library services and address common questions about library use.

Can I print in the library?

Yes!

All library computers will print to the printer located in the last row of the computer area.

If you have trouble printing, check to be sure that you have enough money on your print balance to cover the entire print job.

How many computers are there to use in the library?

The library has twenty-two computers for student use.

How do I use the library wireless?

To use the library's wireless, you must be set up on the university's wireless network.

What are the steps to setting up my connection to the Flashzone-WPA wireless network with the XpressConnect utility for Windows 7/XP/Vista?

Note: If you have not changed from your default Flashline password, you must do so before you are able to connect to FlashZone-WPA, click here.


Configure FlashZone-WPA on Windows

              1. Download the XpressConnect wireless configuration utility from HERE if you have not done so already.

              2.  Save the file (flashzone.exe) to your desktop.

              3. Double-click flashzone.exe on your desktop to launch the utility. The icon will look like the image below: 
                  

               4.  The wireless configuration utility will launch.

               5.  Please read the installer notes. When finished, click Continue

               6.  Enter your FlashLine username and password. Click Continue 
                         Note: Your user-name does not require "@kent.edu" to be appended to it.

               7.  The XpressConnect utility will now attempt to connect to the Flashzone-WPA network and automatically configure the options for you.

               8.   If you have successfully authenticated to the network, the following bubble will appear in the lower right side of your computer.
                   This will advise you that you have successfully been configured to the wireless network.

               9.   After you clear Step 8 (Authentication), the utility will now receive it's Network Address.

              10.  When the configuration process has completed and you have been assigned a Network Address (IP Address), a window will appear.

               11. Open up a web browser to verify that you are connected.
