For a multidisciplinary scholarly database- use Google scholar- some of the features you can take advantage of on Google Scholar include:
- Boolean Operators- AND, OR, NOT
- Exact Phrase search
- Limit search by: Date, Author, Journal name, words in Title.
- Citation count
- Citation generator- click on quotation marks (citations available in 5 citation styles)
- Related Articles
- Export to a citation management software such as Endnote and Refworks
To access the advanced search mode on Google scholar- expand the menu icon on the right and click on Advanced search:
