Purpose of This Guide

Welcome! This guide has been created for students participating in the thesis proposal preparation semester in anticipation of completing their Senior Honors Thesis within Kent State University's Honors College.

It is our hope that this guide will direct you to the necessary links to complete the library workshop requirement of your thesis preparation as well as provide a gathering place of useful links you'll cover in your one-on-one library workshop session.

Within this guide you will find:

Library Workshop: This page will cover the required steps for the library workshop session as well as provide an overview of what a library workshop session will cover.

Library Resources: This page gathers just some of the library's useful resources in one place.

Preparing Your Thesis: This page covers how to prepare your thesis for submission to the    OhioLINK Electronic Theses and Dissertation (ETD) center.

Library Workshop

As part of your Thesis Proposal Preparation, you will be asked to attend a "library workshop"; these workshops are one-on-one appointments with subject librarians at Kent State University Libraries.

In order to complete the library workshop, follow these steps:

  1. Begin by reviewing the subject librarian list,
  2. Choose the librarian whose subject area most closely aligns with your proposed research topic,
  3. Email the appropriate librarian to set up a meeting time that works for both your schedules.
