Session Descriptions

• Qualtrics Part 1: Basic Survey Building in Qualtrics - Interested in creating your own online surveys? This session will cover everything you need to know to start making surveys in Qualtrics. We'll also talk about how write survey questions that get the data you need to answer your core questions.
• Qualtrics Part 2: Collecting & Analyzing Data - In this session, we'll demonstrate the parts of Qualtrics that you'll use after your survey is built, such as distributing surveys to contact lists and using Qualtrics's built-in reporting tools.
• Intro to NVivo for Windows - In this session, you will be introduced to everything you need to know to start analyzing qualitative data in NVivo for Windows. Using semi-structured interviews, we will cover how to import transcripts into NVivo, and how to begin coding themes in your sources.
• Intro to R for Data Analysis - R is a free and open-source programming language used for statistical data analysis and data visualization. In this workshop, we'll cover the basics of how to use R to analyze data with the goal of answering a research question. No programming experience is required, but familiarity with another statistical software package (like SAS, Stata, or SPSS) is helpful.

Instruction for Groups

If you are a classroom instructor, or if you have a group of faculty, staff, or students interested in software training, we can provide a workshop or instruction session tailored to your group's needs.

For example, we can focus on a how to work with a particular type of data or perform a specific type of analysis in a program, or give a more general "onboarding" workshop for new users.

Currently, we can provide instruction remotely via Microsoft Teams, or by pre-recording a video that you can view or embed in your Blackboard course.
